Help Heroic Baltimore Rescuer Allen Randolph Recover and Rebuild
My name is Allen Randolph, and I am asking for help after suffering injuries while rescuing seven people from a devastating house explosion and fire in Baltimore Highlands in June 2017.
When the explosion occurred, I did not hesitate. While others were running away from the danger, I ran into the burning homes to help those trapped inside. During the rescue, I helped save seven people, including children, elderly residents, and a disabled woman who could not escape on her own.
While carrying a woman weighing approximately 300 pounds from one of the damaged homes, part of the structure collapsed. A cement pillar and falling debris struck me, causing burns and other injuries. Despite my injuries, I continued helping until everyone I could reach was brought to safety.
The rescue was covered by local news, and many people called my actions heroic. However, after the cameras left, I was left to face the consequences of my injuries largely on my own.
I had no medical insurance coverage and was forced to seek emergency treatment for burns and injuries that resulted directly from the rescue. Today, I continue to struggle with outstanding medical debt from emergency room treatment and wound care services. These bills have created a significant financial burden that I have been unable to overcome.
Although my actions helped save lives, I have never received meaningful recognition or support from Baltimore City for the sacrifices I made that day. The physical injuries, emotional impact, and financial hardship have remained with me long after the tragedy faded from the headlines.
I am creating this fundraiser to seek assistance with:
• Outstanding emergency room medical bills
• Wound care clinic expenses
• Follow-up medical treatment and recovery costs
• Transportation and health-related expenses
• Basic living expenses affected by my injuries and financial hardship
I never entered those burning homes seeking recognition. I acted because people needed help, and I believed it was the right thing to do. Today, I am humbly asking for help from the community, friends, neighbors, and compassionate supporters who believe that acts of courage should not leave a person facing overwhelming debt and hardship alone.
If you are able to donate, share this fundraiser, or offer words of encouragement, I would be deeply grateful.
Thank you for your support, prayers, and kindness.

Sincerely,
Allen Randolph
