Wings of Resilience – Strategic Plan

💔 Why We Exist
In 2022, our 15-year-old son, David Robert Palcisko, died by suicide. There were no warning signs. Faced with tragedy, we chose action over victimhood. Wings of Resilience exists to prevent other families from facing the same loss by delivering awareness, education, resources, and hope across Ohio — and eventually nationwide.

🎯 What We Plan to Do
Scholarships & Education – Build on the 24 scholarships already awarded at Elyria Catholic, St. Edward, St. Ignatius, and North Ridgeville High School. Expand statewide, helping Catholic, public, and private schools strengthen mental health and suicide prevention programs.

Ambassadors of Hope – Recruit 88 County Ambassadors and 5 Regional Leads to ensure no Ohio community is left behind. Ambassadors will engage schools, veterans groups, VFW/Legion posts, LGBTQ+ GSAs, drama and music programs, and athletic conferences.

Community & Veteran Outreach – Leverage John Palcisko’s role as Education Chair for AFSP Ohio and his Service Academy/veteran networks. Partner with 700+ VFW and 500+ American Legion posts, military installations (Wright-Patterson, Rickenbacker, Camp Perry, Youngstown ARS), and VA hospitals statewide.

Fundraising & Campaigns – Launch DMoney Honey as both revenue driver and awareness symbol — “sweetening the fight for mental health.” Organize annual community-driven campaigns (sports events, farmer’s markets, veteran gatherings). Dedicate 25% of JDP corporate revenue to anchor funding.

Awareness & Prevention – Partner with schools, veterans, and civic organizations to host workshops, normalize conversations, and provide training. Our goal: build a grassroots network of resilience so no one in Ohio has to fight in silence.
