Hey, I'm Anthony Dennis growing up in the foster system from the age of three and getting released at the age of 20 years old, I have faced more than my fair share of challenges. The system isn't perfect, and it can be tough on a kid, constantly moving from one home to another, trying to find your place in the world. But these experiences have also been my greatest teacher. They've instilled in me a resilience and a determination that not many can claim. I've learned to adapt, to make the most of every new situation, and to never give up on myself. Now, as I strive for my business degree, I see it as more than just education. It's a ticket to a future I've been dreaming of, a future where success is defined on my terms. My time in the foster system taught me to be resourceful, to think on my feet, and to value the connections I make. These aren't just life skills; they're business skills, too. Whether it's navigating group projects, acing exams, or just dealing with the day-to-day pressures of college life, I draw on the lessons of my past to propel me forward. My goal isn't just to get by it's to excel, to rise above the statistics that say kids like me aren't supposed to make it. I'm here to prove them wrong. Earning my degree is more than personal achievement; it's a way to set an example for others who've been in my shoes, to show them that where you come from doesn't have to dictate where you're going. I'm not just chasing success for the sake of it I'm chasing a better life, a stable life one where I can be the one offering support and guidance.
