Dallas is a vibrant fun loving pup full of energy who has not had much luck in a loving stable home. Just shy of two years old, Dallas was adopted or purchased [unclear] as a puppy to a young couple. They had a baby and he wound up at Miami-Dade Animal Services. It's unclear to me how long he was there, but he ended up on the euthanasia list. At such a young age and visibly scared, a kind samaritan who helps animals adopted him in January of 2025 with the sole purpose of saving his life to find him a loving home. Due to resident pets, this person was not able to adopt Dallas themselves to bring home, which is why the intention was always to find him a home. 

Unfortunately, Dallas has gone from sitter, to boarding, to medical boarding for URI and back to boarding. He has been bounced around for over NINE months! This stop now. He will get what he needs to ensure he finds his forever home. And to ensure he is set up for success and does not have any potential issues of being returned.

In order to do that, Dallas will require training for several habits that are either things he emulates because of his breed, or things he emulates because he is really still a puppy who has had no direction or structure from a kind loving home yet.

During the duration of Dallas' last couple of months being sent to different places, it has been made very clear that he was abused somewhere along the journey. This does not help with training and will require a professional to assess him properly. This will most likely need to be done in a board and train setting. 

There are assessments set up for Dallas to try out different trainers this coming week and the following. This is to see who will offer him what he needs best. I have based the funding goal on previous quote[s] received by our first choice trainer[s] for Dallas. Unfortunately the availability is not there and we could not work it out or wait until next year. Starting to collect funds now as we make our decision on a trainer in the next coming days. We will also update everyone once we have done so. 

The funding goal also includes a couple hundred dollars worth of run sessions for Dallas to exert much needed energy and get some physical stimulation he so much needs! Any funds left over will be passed on to another dog in need.
