About this fundraiser

First off, if you see anyone going through a medical tragedy, please donate to them first. Our mental health is under attack, but we are trying to stay strong. I used the photo for this fundraiser of my wife and her mother (who is no longer with us) because I wish this was something we could have done for her when she was still alive. The harassment has compounded since then, and now we feel like we have to fight back.

I’ll break down a short version of what’s happening, but please watch the YouTube video to get the whole picture. Basically, an excavation company bought all the land surrounding our property, and they want to buy ours as well. Even though we are less than a mile from town, there’s no zoning here—so really, there are no rules.

For my wife, this has been a five-year struggle. We were recently married, and I have been dealing with it for almost a year now. The company owner is always offering to buy this property we live on, all the while increasing the machinery noise just 30 feet from our home.

It doesn’t take much to figure out his motivation. We believe he thinks we’ll eventually grow tired of the loud trucks, bulldozers beeping, and constant dust, and that we’ll cave and sell our land just to go live in peace. There have been hard days when the thought crossed our minds, but honestly, with how he has treated us, we’d rather be miserable than give him the upper hand.

Where he truly crossed the line was cutting down trees on our property and even digging up dirt. We’ve spoken to an attorney, but he’s very expensive, and we’re afraid we won’t have the funds to fight this fight.

If you’re the kind of person who always roots for the underdog against a bully who only cares about advancing his own wealth, then we are your worthy cause.

Thank you for reading—we truly appreciate any help we can get.
