About this fundraiser

After months of vet appointments and emergency hospitalizations we have found the cause of Bronson’s illness. With a heavy heart I have to say Bronson has stage 5 T-Cell Lymphoma cancer that was found through a bone aspirate. This all started when Bronson stopped eating his food, anyone with a lab knows that they never reject food. He didn’t want to go on his daily walks or even swim, I noticed him drinking a lot more water. I took him to the vets office on an emergency visit just expecting it to be an infection, but the many tests and blood drawings never gave up a conclusive answer. We went back and forth many times with many hospitalizations, at home subcutaneous drips, finally resulting in a bone aspirate to revel his cancer. To say this has been a gut punch is an understatement. With the advisement of his specialist and oncologist i began his 25 week CHOP chemotherapy treatment. So far, Bronson has been doing wonderfully, however T-cell lymphoma is very hard to successfully treat. Aside from the treatments themselves the expenses are an extremely hard to manage on my own. I’m a college student that Serves tables for my primary income, just barely scraping by has been so stressful. I’ve taken out multiple loans to cover his treatments and I’m about tapped out from what I can financially handle. Each appointment is over 1000$ and he goes biweekly now, during the first portion of his treatments it was weekly visits to the specialist so at least it’s gotten less frequent. I’ll do whatever I can to get him the help he needs because with treatment his chances at a happy healthy life are good. It’s been an uphill battle but I believe we can all help give bronson the fighting chance he deserves to keep swimming, hiking and snoring to his hearts content.

I know I’m biased but truthfully, Bronson is one of the sweetest, most silly and loving dogs you could possibly have the pleasure of meeting. He’s only 7 years old but a puppy at heart, seeing him so sick and low energy has been heartbreaking. My only goal is to get him better and have the opportunity to have as much happy moments and life that he can. No one should have to choose between their family member getting the treatment they need and money in the bank. He’s worth every penny to me, I got Bronson as a puppy after my sister passed away, he’s single pawed helped me stay grounded in some of the hardest times of my life so far, and I’m trying my best to return the favor he’s given me. I love him with all my heart and would appreciate any help possible even if it means sharing with your friends and family. Thank you for taking the time to read this post, and/ or sharing with friends and family!
