In 2015 my life was forever changed when I was diagnosed with a rare muscle disease called inclusion body myositis.  This disease has no treatment and no cure.  The large muscle groups in my body are wasting away.  Ive already lost a muscle in my hip.  I walk using a rollator so that I don't fall.  I have fallen many times.  I fall with no notice.  My legs simply give out.  I would like to purchase a piece of equipment called a Zeen.  It would give me back some of my mobility.  Id be protected from falling.   Insurance and Medicare do not cover this item.  I lost my career as a special education teacher to this disease.  My husband was let go from his job of 24yrs last September and has not found a new position.  We don't have the funds to purchase this equipment.  I want to volunteer in school,attend public functions but my disability does not allow me to sit on typical height seating or even use public restrooms as the surfaces are not high enough for me.  The Zeen would help me with these issues. I could go to a restaurant again or just walk with friends without worrying about falling.   Ive tried other funding sources and have been turned away.  This is my last attempt to have some sort of normal.
