Edward Erwin “Eddie” Rummell, age 61, of Marysville, peacefully passed away at home, Saturday, January 25, 2025 surrounded by his beloved family and loyal canine companion, Tytan.
Eddie lived a life rooted in simplicity and the joys of nature. As a retail clerk, he worked for Lowe’s, Big Bear, Walmart, and Goodwill Industries, and also spent time with The Scott Miracle-Gro Company. But it was the outdoors where he truly felt at home—whether in the woods with his dog or on the beach with a four-wheeler, or camping in the California mountains or preparing a hearty meal to share with those he loved, Eddie found peace in the simple pleasures of life.
A film enthusiast with a diverse taste, Eddie enjoyed a wide range of movies—from the magical world of Harry Potter to classic cowboy tales and thought-provoking paranormal stories. His love for good films was matched only by his passion for cooking, often crafting big meals that brought family and friends together to savor life’s little moments.
Family was always at the center of Eddie's world, and his greatest joy came from spending time with those he held dear. Whether it was a quiet afternoon in the fresh air or a spirited conversation over a homemade dinner, he cherished every moment with his loved ones.
Born November 18, 1963, in Columbus, Eddie was preceded in death by his mother, Billie Jean Horn Rambo, and a cherished dog, Nakito. He is survived by his father, Gilbert Rummell of Columbus; his children, Savannah (Damien) Rummell of Delaware, Brandon Rummell (with Eddie’s soon-to-be born granddaughter) of Marysville, and Johnathan Rummell of Marysville; his brother, Robert “Bobby” (Melissa) Rummell of London; his sister, Tabitha “Tabby” Baldridge of West Mansfield; as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and other extended family and friends, including a niece, Amber (Cory) Jenderat.
