Give A Hand is building the most engaging and impactful workplace philanthropy platform in the world. With the help of our users, we collect employee donation and volunteering activity, employee carbon emissions data, community investment impact data, which we combine with research data sets to produce our own forecasts and models of impact.
Give A Hand is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer reporting to a team lead to support the rapidly growing feature teams at Give A Hand. You’ll be part of a small but fast-moving team responsible for creating and delivering software from conception to deployment. You will be joining as an early member of the team that will help Give A Hand build for scale.
Job requirements
You will:
- Work across the stack to deliver new features from start-to-finish
- Build clean, performant APIs to power our features & data visualizations
- Implement compelling, usable UIs; contribute to their design, and engineer them with React and Redux
- Improve performance and overcome scalability limits
- Own meaningful parts of our service, have an impact by supporting charitable donations in various ways and projects related to volunteering management.
You have:
- 5+ years of experience architecting & building solutions using web technologies Work with Product Managers to determine key requirements
- Work with Engineering, QA, Ops teams to identify and resolve technical challenges
- Design and develop full-stack application business logic using ReactJS, Node.js, & related technologies
- Strong development and design experience using ReactJS and Node.js
- Love shipping products across the spectrum of internal tools and user-facing apps Experience implementing REST APIs / GraphQL
- Experience with databases (NoSQL/SQL, e.g. MongoDB/Postgres)
- Experience with automated testing Enjoy working cross-functionally and globally with other teams in Product, Engineer and business partners
Nice to have:
- TypeScript experience Prior experience with React Native
- Working knowledge in an early stage startup
- Experience with security testing Implementing AWS best practices, including security & data migration

The Role:
We're looking for a Technical Solutions Engineer to ensure our top users' systems connect with Give A Hand seamlessly as they go live. This founding member of our Technical Solutions Engineering function will work in a pre-sale, onboarding, and post-sale technical support capacity and will be responsible for building the processes, tools, and playbooks for the organization.
Job requirements
You will:
- Develop deep understanding of Give A Hand's technology stack so as to ensure proposed solutions address our users' needs
- Build trust and partnerships with clients and internal stakeholders, and lead engagements to ensure stakeholder alignment
- Lead as the key technical contact for our users and partners as they onboard with Give A Hand
- Work with engineering + product to highlight any product improvements based on user insights
- Provide ongoing solutions consulting to existing Give A Hand users
- Create the foundation for a successful solutions engineering team!
You Have:
- experience in solutions engineering or sales engineering
- Experience working with React.JS, Node.JS, MongoDB, AWS
- Computer science background or other technical/quantitative orientation
- Prior startup experience is a plus

Lead Designer, Creative & Brand

You will:
- Evolve, expand, and maintain the design direction of the Give A Hand visual brand in partnership with other design leaders on the Creative & Brand, Marketing, and Product team
- Mentor junior designers, providing support to their work and growth
- Bring the brand to life in critical marketing moments, from fundraisers systems to digital experiences
- Collaborate with designers, copywriters, producers, researchers, product managers, marketers, and other cross-functional partners to evolve our design systems to best connect and support our rapidly-growing user base
- Work with external partners on creative strategy, guidance, execution, and production
- Help shape the strategic vision and goals for the Creative & Brand Design team
- Inspire, create and sustain a culture of excellence by defining and guiding functional and external partners in best practices, design process, and ideation
You are:
- A user-first designer who is fluent in design thinking and the latest digital design tools, including Figma and the Adobe creative suite
- Passionate about crafting digital experiences that tell stories that bring the brand to life for our users.
- A natural collaborator and strong communicator who thrives in a fast paced environment
- Able to work on very broadly defined, loose concepts, and sometimes on narrowly defined, tactical deliverables, as well as work on long range goals and pivot to accommodate near term needs across a variety of surface areas
- Someone with proven excellence in brand-defining art direction and building and extending design systems
- Someone who is “always making”, pushing the boundaries of how we can use creative design to inspire and communicate what’s possible
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 2 years of creative direction and design leadership experience and,
- 8-12 years of relevant experience in strategy, information architecture, web design and creative technology experience at digital native agencies, and/or tech-forward, product-driven companies
- An online portfolio or compendium of example web projects you’ve worked on and led
- An expert understanding of the formal elements of design, not just limited to the web but including typography, layout, balance, and proportion
- An understanding of brand, marketing, and product design life cycles with the common roadblocks and challenges teams encounter
- The ability to connect business goals to team output and planning
- A desire to engage in new challenges with a growth mindset, and a knack for handling ambiguity
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment or agency (preferred, but not required)
- Ability to collaborate with the team and other departments in the office

Growth Marketing Analyst

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Collaborate with the UA team to drive paid growth for Give A Hand to achieve internal revenue and acquisition goals
- Determine market trends and user needs to discover new growth opportunities
- Identify and optimize new and existing growth levers via fundraiser experimentation
- Work collaboratively with UA adjacent teams to assist projects improving fundraiser effectiveness, efficiency, and measurement
- Guide creative production, working with both internal and external teams to establish best practices for copy, creative assets, and testing cadence
What you’ll need:
- 3+ years of experience launching and optimizing paid marketing fundraisers (e.g. Facebook, Google UAC, etc.)
- 3+ years of work experience in digital marketing with an emphasis on performance; e-commerce experience is a plus
- Deep understanding of user behavior, funnels, marketing channels, and the ecosystem in order to steer paid marketing strategy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excel expertise; SQL, Looker/Tableau experience is a plus
