Information we collect

When you make use of our Services, we may collect and process a variety of personal information about you and from various sources which may include but are not limited to the following as described below:

      “Personal Information" means any information which, either alone or in combination with other information we hold about you, identifies you as an individual, including, for example, your contact information such as your name, email address, telephone, location information, demographic information, as well as any other non-public information about you that is associated with or linked to any of the foregoing data which you may be required to provide when using the Service. We collect this information when you sign-up for the Service, engage our interactive services, feedback and survey responses, request customer support or otherwise communicate with us.

“Information from Organization” as a charity or nonprofit (each a "Charity") that establishes an account with us, we will collect the name, tax ID, and physical address of the Organization, and the name, email address, and phone number of the person who establishes an organization account (the "Organization Contact"). We also may collect, if the Organization Contact chooses to provide it, additional descriptive information about the Organization including any photos uploaded to the Platform.

“Setting up a fundraiser ("Fundraiser”)” We will collect certain information about you and your Fundraiser if you choose to create and publish a Fundraiser on our platform. You might, for instance, give your fundraiser a name, select a category, add photos, and explain its objective(s). By also creating and publishing a Fundraiser for a family member, friend or a third-party (a "Beneficiary"), you will be required to provide certain information about such Beneficiary, and in doing so, you may be required to share the identity or circumstances of such Beneficiary. You authorize the collection, storing, and use of your provided information by us in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy.

If you upload personal information pertaining to a Beneficiary, you acknowledge and agree that you have their consent to allow us access to and use such information. You also agree that you have informed such Beneficiary of how their information is collected and used by Give-A-Hand in order to provide the Services. In any messages that are sent to them, we have the right to identify you as the person who made the referral.

Additionally, our payment processors collect your bank information and keep track of data on your Fundraiser funds transfer.

"Anonymous/Aggregated Data" means data that is not associated with or linked to your Personal Information; Anonymous Data does not, by itself, permit the identification of individual persons. We collect, use and share Anonymous Data such as statistical or demographic data for any purpose. Anonymous Data may be derived from your personal information but is not considered personal information in law as such data does not directly or indirectly reveal your identity. For instance, Give-A-Hand may aggregate or anonymize your usage data to calculate the percentage of users accessing a specific Service feature. However, if Give-A-Hand combines or connects Aggregated Data with your personal information so that it can directly or indirectly identify you, Give-A-Hand treats the combined data as personal information which will be used in accordance with this privacy notice.

Give-A-Hand does not collect any Special Category of information about you such as your race, ethnicity, philosophical or religious beliefs, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health and genetic and biometric data).

Credit card information, payment amount, date and time of the transaction, payment instrument expiration date and billing postcode, user’s address and other details related to the transaction may be collected as well.

For example, we use the email address we collect from you to help you create, log into, and manage your Give-A-Hand account and Fundraisers on our Services. This lets us personalize your experience and give you relevant information. It also powers the features that help you better understand, engage with, and track your account and Fundraiser goals and present you with personalized, relevant and helpful information/features.
4. Conducting research and analysis to help develop relevant and helpful features.
5. Making donations and withdrawal transfers: We use your personal information to process donations, process withdrawal transfers, deliver the service, and communicate with you about your donation, payment and relevant services.
6. Recommendations and Personalization: Personalize your experience and inform you about the therapy/services in which you have indicated an interest.
7. We use information collected to facilitate the connection of Social Media Accounts to our Services to provide information from Social Media Accounts to your Profile. Depending on the Social Media Accounts you choose and subject to the privacy settings that you have set in such Social Media Accounts, we will access, make available and store (if applicable and as permitted by the social media service and authorized by you) the information in your Social Media Accounts so that it is available on and through your Profile on the Services.
8. For communication purposes: We may send emails, product updates and related emails to the email address you provide to us and text messages to any cellphone number you provided to us, and for informational and operational purposes, such as account management, customer service, system maintenance, and other Service-related purposes. Organizers and beneficiaries of Fundraisers: Where necessary, we share certain information that we have about you with the Organizers of a Fundraiser and, if not the same, the Beneficiaries of the Fundraiser to which you donated. For instance, if you donate to a Fundraiser, we provide the organizer or beneficiary with your name, email address, and donation information so they may get in touch with you if needed.
3. Subsidiaries, business partners and affiliates: We may share personal information or any information collected through your use of the Service with our subsidiaries and affiliates for the purposes for which you provided the information or as reasonably necessary for our internal administrative and business purposes. We may share your Personal Information with our business partners. Some of these business partners may use your personal information to facilitate the offering of services or products that may be of interest to you. We may also share your Personal Information as otherwise described to you at the time of collection.
4. Analytics Partners: When you provide your personal information to us, we may make certain personal information available to certain third parties for analytics purposes, including but not limited to leveraging third-party tools and services to host, track, integrate, manage user's interests, usage pattern, and/or functionality available through our Services. Children under the age of 13/Age restriction

Give-A-Hand's Services are not directed to and do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from, children under the age of thirteen (13). If it is determined that such information has been inadvertently collected on anyone under the age of thirteen (13), we shall immediately take the necessary steps to ensure that such information is deleted from our system's database. Also, for users between the age of thirteen (13) and eighteen (18), you must have your parent’s or legal guardian’s permission in order to be able to make use of our website and the services that we offer.

Your choices; unsubscribe or opt-out

Account information: You may update certain information you provide to us (such as your password, name and email address) by logging into your Give-A-Hand account. Also, if you decide to delete your Give-A-Hand account, note that we may retain certain information where required or permitted by law. We may also retain cached or archived copies of certain information about you and your usage of the Services for a certain period of time.

Do not track: Some browsers have “Do Not Track” features that let you send a request to sites to not track your online activities. We, like many other sites, do not honor those requests.
