Give A Hand ("Give A Hand," "we," "our," or "us") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you access or use our websites, applications, fundraising pages, payment and transfer features, communications, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy is a notice and does not create consent where consent is not the appropriate legal basis for processing. Where applicable law requires consent, we will request it separately.

This Privacy Policy applies to Organizers, donors, Beneficiaries, nonprofit or charity representatives, visitors, and other persons who interact with the Services. It does not govern the independent privacy practices of Organizers, Beneficiaries, payment processors, linked websites, or other third parties that Give A Hand does not control.

1. Information We Collect

We collect personal information directly from you, automatically when you use the Services, from other users, and from service providers and other third parties. The information collected depends on how you interact with Give A Hand.

1.1 Information You Provide

• Account and contact information, such as your name, email address, telephone number, mailing address, location, date of birth, login credentials, and profile information.
• Organization information, such as an organization name, tax identification number, physical address, tax-exempt status, and the name, email address, telephone number, and role of an organization representative.
• Fundraiser information, such as the fundraiser title, category, goal, location, story, images, videos, updates, comments, and information about the Organizer or Beneficiary.
• Donation and transaction information, such as donation amount, date, recurring-donation instructions, billing postal code, transaction status, refund or dispute information, and payment-method details made available to us by our payment processors.
• Transfer and financial information, such as bank-account or payout details, transfer status, tax information, and information needed to establish or maintain a connected payment account. Payment processors may collect and retain certain financial information directly.
• Communications and support information, including messages, emails, chat content, telephone communications, survey responses, feedback, and documents you provide in connection with support, verification, disputes, or investigations.

1.2 Information About Beneficiaries and Other People

An Organizer may provide information about a Beneficiary or another person. The Organizer represents that the Organizer has the authority and all necessary permissions to provide that information and to permit Give A Hand to collect, use, disclose, and publish it as described in this Privacy Policy. The Organizer must inform the relevant person about the fundraiser and Give A Hand's processing of the information.

1.3 Sensitive Personal Information and Health-Related Content

Fundraiser Content may include sensitive personal information concerning an Organizer, Beneficiary, or another person, including health information, disability information, financial hardship, racial or ethnic origin, religious or philosophical beliefs, political opinions, sexual orientation, or other personal circumstances. Such information may be publicly available when included in a Fundraiser. Organizers should provide only information that is necessary and appropriate and must have all required authority and consent before providing sensitive information about another person.

Give A Hand is not a healthcare provider or health plan. Information included in a medical fundraiser is not necessarily protected by health-privacy laws, such as HIPAA, merely because it relates to a medical condition. Users should carefully consider what health information they publish.

1.4 Identity Verification, KYC, AML, and Fraud-Prevention Information

To verify identity, establish or maintain transfers, comply with financial-services requirements, screen for sanctions, satisfy know-your-customer and anti-money-laundering obligations, prevent fraud, and protect the Services, Give A Hand and its service providers may collect or process information such as your legal name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address, government-issued identification, tax information, bank information, device and network information, and verification or risk results.

Our identity-verification providers may ask you to submit an image of a government-issued identification document and, where used and permitted by law, a selfie, facial image, video, or liveness check. A provider may analyze facial geometry or other biometric identifiers to confirm that the person presenting the document is the person shown in it. Give A Hand may receive verification results, risk signals, document details, or copies of submitted materials, depending on the provider and verification method. Any provider collection or retention of biometric information is also governed by the provider's privacy terms and applicable law.

We may also receive information from payment processors, identity-verification providers, fraud-prevention services, sanctions and watchlist databases, public records, financial institutions, law-enforcement sources where lawful, and reports from users or third parties.

1.5 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the Services, we and our service providers may automatically collect usage information, log data, IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, approximate location, referring and exit pages, pages viewed, links selected, dates and times of access, error information, email engagement, and other information about your interaction with the Services.

We use cookies, pixels, web beacons, local storage, software development kits, and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember preferences, authenticate users, prevent fraud, understand usage, measure communications, and, where applicable, support advertising and campaign measurement. 2. Give A Hand Is a Public Fundraising Platform

Fundraiser pages and certain other areas of the Services are public and may be viewed by anyone, including people without a Give A Hand account. Information published on a fundraiser page, including names, photographs, videos, fundraiser stories, locations, updates, comments, donation activity, and information about a Beneficiary, may be copied, shared, reposted, indexed by search engines, or displayed on social media and other third-party services.

Removing or changing content on Give A Hand may not immediately remove copies from search-engine caches, archives, social-media posts, or third parties that previously accessed or copied the content. Users should not publish information they do not want made public.

3. How We Use Personal Information

We use personal information to:

• Create, authenticate, maintain, secure, and service user and organization accounts.
• Create, publish, administer, and promote fundraisers and facilitate donations, recurring donations, refunds, transfers, and related transactions.
• Verify identity, conduct KYC, AML, sanctions, and other compliance checks, detect and prevent fraud or misuse, investigate reports, enforce our Terms, and protect Give A Hand, our users, and others.
• Communicate with Organizers, Beneficiaries, donors, and other users about accounts, donations, transfers, verification, documentation, customer support, security, legal obligations, and the Services.
• Personalize and improve the Services; troubleshoot problems; conduct research, analytics, auditing, accounting, reconciliation, and internal business operations.
• Send fundraising tips, newsletters, promotions, or other marketing communications where permitted by law and consistent with your choices.
• Comply with applicable laws, regulations, court orders, lawful government requests, payment-network rules, and financial-services obligations.

3.1 Transfer Reminders and Operational Communications

We may use an Organizer's or Beneficiary's contact information to communicate by email, telephone, text message, in-platform notification, or other available channels concerning account verification, transfer setup, unclaimed or unwithdrawn funds, approaching transfer deadlines, payment issues, required documentation, fraud or security reviews, and other administrative or Service-related matters. These are operational communications and may continue even if the recipient has opted out of marketing communications, to the extent permitted by law.

We may use service providers to deliver these communications. Standard telephone or text-message charges may apply. Where required, we will obtain consent before sending automated or marketing text messages or calls. We may direct you to sign in or use a secure link to complete verification or transfer steps. Give A Hand will not ask you to send passwords or complete bank-account details by email, text message, or telephone.

4. How We Disclose Personal Information

4.1 Service Providers

We disclose personal information to vendors and service providers that perform services for us, including hosting, cloud storage, software development, customer service, communications, analytics, marketing, security, identity verification, payment processing, transfer processing, fraud prevention, legal, accounting, and database-maintenance services.

4.2 Payment Processors and Verification Providers

Payment processors and identity-verification providers may process information as our service providers and, for certain activities, as independent businesses responsible for their own processing. Their collection and use of information may be governed by their own privacy notices. Give A Hand currently uses Stripe and related providers for payment and connected-account services.

4.3 Organizers and Beneficiaries

When you donate, we may provide the Organizer and, where applicable, the Beneficiary with your name, email address, donation amount, donation date, recurring-donation status, and other information reasonably necessary to administer the fundraiser, communicate with you, or address a transaction. Choosing to hide your name publicly does not necessarily prevent the Organizer, Beneficiary, Give A Hand, or our payment processors from receiving information about you.

Organizers and Beneficiaries may use donor information independently. Their use of personal information is not controlled by Give A Hand and may be subject to their own legal obligations.

4.4 Affiliates and Business Partners

We may disclose information to our subsidiaries, affiliates, and business partners for internal administration, service delivery, security, fraud prevention, marketing, and other purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

4.5 Analytics and Advertising Partners

We may disclose online identifiers, device information, usage information, and similar data to analytics and advertising partners to understand use of the Services, measure communications and campaigns, and, where used, provide or measure interest-based advertising. Depending on applicable law and the technology involved, some disclosures may be considered a "sale," "sharing," or use for targeted advertising even when no money is exchanged.

4.6 Legal, Safety, and Business Transfers

We may disclose information when required or permitted by law; in response to lawful subpoenas, court orders, warrants, or government requests; to investigate or prevent fraud, illegal activity, security incidents, or violations of our agreements; to protect rights, property, safety, and the integrity of the Services; or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar business transaction.

4.7 Aggregated and De-Identified Information

We may create, use, and disclose aggregated or de-identified information for lawful purposes. We will treat information as personal information if we combine it with other information in a manner that reasonably identifies a person.

5. Cookies, Analytics, Advertising, and Privacy Choices

We do not sell personal information for money. We may use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or other analytics, advertising, and measurement services. Please review our Cookie Policy and the cookie-preference tools made available through the Services for current information about the technologies we use and how to manage non-essential cookies.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information or its use for targeted advertising. Where required, Give A Hand will process legally recognized browser-based opt-out signals, such as Global Privacy Control, as a request to opt out for the browser or device sending the signal. Browser "Do Not Track" signals that are not legally recognized opt-out mechanisms may not be honored.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and as permitted or required by law. Retention periods depend on the nature of the information, the length and nature of our relationship, the sensitivity of the information, whether a fundraiser remains public or active, operational requirements, fraud and security risks, payment and accounting obligations, legal requirements, and applicable limitation periods.

We may retain account and fundraiser records, transaction and transfer records, tax and accounting information, verification and compliance records, fraud and security records, communications, disputes, chargebacks, and legal records after an account is closed or content is removed when needed to complete transactions, issue refunds, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, comply with law, establish or defend legal claims, or protect the Services.

Deletion from active systems may not immediately remove information from backups, archives, search-engine caches, or copies controlled by third parties. When retention is no longer necessary, we may delete, anonymize, or de-identify information in accordance with our procedures and applicable law.

7. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on your location and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have the right to request access to personal information; obtain a copy; correct inaccurate information; request deletion; request restriction; object to processing; withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; request data portability; opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling; and appeal the denial of a privacy request.

You may exercise an applicable right through our privacy request web form or by contacting us using the information below. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law, but we may require proof of authorization and direct verification with the individual. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

If we deny a request, residents of jurisdictions that provide an appeal right may appeal by replying to our decision or contacting us at the privacy email below with the subject "Privacy Request Appeal." You may also have the right to contact your state attorney general or local data-protection authority.

7.1 Marketing and Communication Choices

Marketing emails include instructions for unsubscribing. You may opt out of marketing text messages by following the instructions in the message, including replying STOP where supported. Opting out of marketing does not prevent account, transaction, transfer, security, legal, or other operational communications.

8. EEA, UK, and Other International Users

For users in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, Give A Hand is the controller of personal information unless another entity is identified at the time of collection. Depending on the processing activity, our legal bases may include performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, protection of vital interests, our legitimate interests or those of another person where not overridden by your rights, and consent where required.

Our legitimate interests may include providing and improving the Services, preventing fraud, securing accounts and transfers, communicating about the Services, enforcing our agreements, and protecting Give A Hand and our users. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal.

Give A Hand is based in the United States and works with personnel and service providers in multiple countries. Personal information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in the United States and other countries that may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards, such as approved standard contractual clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism.

You may have the right to lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority where you live or work or where an alleged violation occurred. We encourage you to contact us first so we can address your concern.

9. Children and Fundraisers About Minors

The Services are not intended for use by individuals under 18 as account holders, Organizers, or donors. We do not knowingly permit a child under 18 to create an account or directly submit personal information through the Services. If we learn that a child has done so, we will take appropriate steps consistent with applicable law.

A minor may be identified as a Beneficiary or otherwise appear in Fundraiser Content only when the person providing the information is the minor's parent or legal guardian or has the authority and permission of the parent or legal guardian to provide and publish the information. Organizers should limit information about minors to what is necessary and appropriate.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. These measures may include encryption, access controls, account security tools, monitoring, and retention controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Third-Party Services and Links

The Services may contain links to or integrations with websites, applications, social networks, video hosts, payment services, and other third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices, and Give A Hand is not responsible for their independent practices.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our Services, practices, and legal obligations change. We will post the updated version and revise the "Last revised" date. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice of material changes. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you acknowledge the updated notice; it does not constitute consent where applicable law requires a separate consent.
