In November, 2023, our beautiful sunflower Nici (Nicole) heard the words no parent ever dreams of hearing “Your baby has a heart defect”. What followed was months of ultrasounds, fetal echocardiograms, and referrals. Her baby, Carson is due in March and is facing multiple open heart surgeries, and long NICU stays. Nicole is a single mother and has a 5 year old son. Unfortunately, the hospital Carson will be staying at in the NICU/CVICU is not able to offer her and her 5 year old housing in the expensive city of San Francisco. Because of this, Nicole is in need of financial help to be able to afford a place for her and Bjorn to stay that is nearby the hospital.
