A Leap of Faith — Answering God’s Call to Serve Children 

My name is Briana Salas, and I am a yoga and meditation instructor, and holistic child behaviorist with over 10 years of experience working with children in a variety of settings throughout California.

Throughout my journey, I have felt deeply called to support children in discovering who they are, learning to trust themselves, and feeling safe enough to express their unique gifts. My work brings together movement, mindfulness, creative expression, emotional awareness, and energetic practices to nurture the whole child — mind, body, and spirit.

I believe that every child deserves to feel seen, heard, understood, and loved for exactly who they are. I have a special place in my heart for sensitive and neurodivergent children, and I believe their sensitivities are sacred. My intention is to help create environments where children can feel safe, build confidence, explore their individuality, and grow into the people God created them to be.

Over the years, this work has become more than a profession. It has become a calling — one that continues to shape my heart, my purpose, and the way I choose to live my life.

Answering the Call

Sometimes God calls us to step away from everything familiar, trust the unknown, and take a leap of faith into something new.

I believe I am in one of those seasons of my life.

After much prayer, reflection, and listening to where I feel God is leading me, I am preparing to leave California and begin a new chapter of my life in Virginia.

I have been given a beautiful opportunity to become part of Bringing Presence to the Child at Celestial Haven, where I will be working with children and families through holistic support, creative expression, emotional awareness, nature-based activities, and learning experiences that honor each child’s unique needs, strengths, and gifts.

My heart has always been drawn to helping children feel seen, heard, loved, and accepted for exactly who they are. I believe every child deserves a safe and nurturing environment where they can discover their strengths, build confidence, express themselves freely, and simply be who God created them to be.

For me, this move is about so much more than a new job or a change of scenery. It is about surrendering my own plans, trusting in God’s timing, and being willing to follow where I believe He is calling me to serve.

Taking a Leap of Faith

While I am filled with excitement and gratitude for this new beginning, moving across the country also comes with financial challenges. Between transportation, moving expenses, and the cost of getting settled and establishing a new life in Virginia, there are many practical steps I need to take to make this transition possible.

So, with a humble and grateful heart, I am stepping out in faith and asking for support.

I have created this fundraiser to help cover the expenses of this move and allow me to begin this next chapter with greater stability as I transition into this meaningful work. Any extra expenses will go towards funding this new program at Celestial Haven.

Trusting the Journey

I don’t know every detail of what this next chapter will hold, but I am choosing to trust God, follow guidance, and allow this dream to unfold in my life.

My prayer is that I can be a vessel of love — bringing kindness, compassion, encouragement, and presence into the lives of the children and families I will have the privilege of serving.

I believe that sometimes the most meaningful journeys begin when we are willing to take that first step without knowing exactly where the path will lead. This is my opportunity to do just that: to trust, to grow, to serve, and to follow the quiet knowing in my heart.
