While parked in Kerville due to a lapse with my campers insurance policy an evacuation/flash flood warning was issued. Luckily my truck was unhooked from my camper. I managed to load my dogs and myself and get down the road where we found high ground to sit out the storm. A few hours after the storm was over a rescue team was driving by and picked us up and got us to a shelter. Our camper was completely destroyed in the storm. It was the only home my dogs and my self have known for years. With no family to call for help and no pets allowed in the shelters we are sleeping in my truck. It would be a blessing to raise money for another camper. With no place other to go, we will continue to help others in Kerr county any way we can.
