My grandmother was a woman of God, the kind of person whose smile could light up any room. She had a way of making everyone around her feel loved and seen. When she became very sick and unable to care for herself, our family rallied around her. We made sure she was cared for, that she knew how deeply she was loved.

But then she fell, and everything changed. That fall led to a diagnosis that shattered our hearts: stage 3 cancer. Despite everything we did to support her through it, she passed away on October 7th. The world lost someone truly special, and I lost someone who meant the world to me.
