Please help us get moomaw home comfortably

Dear family friends and community. I come to you with a heavy heart asking for help. This is not something that myself or my family does lightly this is literally our last resort. Many of you know myself and my mom from being infant toddler and preschool teachers at Southside and Lincoln park and helping around the south side community. Whether it was our younger years doing baton with the spinners or running kids around for ROTC at South high. my mother strived to be the safe place and devoted her life to children and I later followed in her footsteps teaching at Lincoln park daycare myself.. many know us as Ms Cathy and Ms Tiff but those close to us affectionally know my mom as Moomaw.. while she was a preschool teacher she was injured and hasn’t been able to work since but has managed to get by but then several years back my mother broke her leg and sadly she has never fully recovered from that. She has bars and bolts all down her leg and ankle and to this day her knee doesn’t bend causing her to live daily in pain and sadly put on some weight from barely being able to walk. George build her a ramp into the house and we’ve made her living room in her bedroom it’s basically going to become a hospital room. She’s had some health concerns recently and has been in the hospital and is now in a rehabilitation center since august 8th While she’s been away from home her basement flood causing her furnace to  go out. She desperately needs a bariatric mattress for her hospital bed that will keep her for getting bed sores which brings us to our biggest problem she is no longer mobile unable to care for herself. So the plan in place is for me to provide her care however she has to leave the center faster then we thought and tho we’ve been working hard to get things in place I’ve been unable yet to get reliable transportation for george and I to go back and forth from Columbus to thornville. The plan is for us to move there with george still working in Columbus and this truck breaking down every other week is making things very difficult. He did get approved for a truck with payments but the down payment we just don’t have while also trying to get things in place for mom to come home. It’s all happened so fast there just wasn’t enough time so I’m asking and begging for help anything helps. We’ve looked through everything and we need to come up with about 2500$ that’s fixing the furnace getting a new mattress and 1000 down for us reliable transportation and gas for us to run back and forth every few days so I can work on getting her house ready for her and specifically ready for therapy to be giving to her at home. George works hard and his pride as a man hates this. But he’s already giving up so much so that I can care for my mom. Please help us come together to get my mom home I’m willing to put in the work make her room into a hospital room and give her thee best care I can to keep her comfortable at home she’s earned this.. prayers are needed from those who are unable to contribute but want to send love it mean a lot.
