I am asking for help for myself and my family as we try to keep our home. I have been unemployed since April and, despite my efforts, I have not had any luck finding a new job. We were already in a difficult financial situation because my husband had to leave the job he had been with for 6 years after his daughter's mother moved an hour away. To keep 50/50 custody of his daughter and make sure he could get her to and from school, he had to step away from work.

Now, with both of our incomes affected, we are struggling to keep up with bills and are trying to make November rent so we do not lose our house. We have 3 kids, and the weight of not knowing how we will keep a roof over their heads has taken a real toll on us. It has also become hard to afford things our children need, and repairs around the house have had to wait while we focus on the most urgent expenses.

Funds will go toward:

• November rent
• Utilities
• A second car, if anything is left over, so I can have better employment opportunities since we have been sharing only one vehicle

The hardest part has been living with the constant fear of either losing our home or facing the possibility of giving up custody of my husband's daughter. I am doing everything I can to find work and keep our family stable, but right now we need help getting through this moment.
