Who will benefit?

This fundraiser will directly benefit me and my two daughters as we work toward securing stable, long-term housing.

In August 2025, I was involved in a car accident that significantly affected my ability to work and save as quickly as I normally would have. I am currently waiting on settlement funds related to that accident, which I expect will help offset the period of reduced income and help rebuild financial stability. However, the waiting period has created a difficult gap between where we are now and where we are trying to get.

At the same time, an unexpected change in our housing plans left us needing to find another path sooner than expected after the person we had planned to live with decided not to move forward.

I recently returned to work and I am a business owner, so my goal is not ongoing support; it’s creating a stable foundation that I can maintain independently. This home would provide consistency, security, and a place for my daughters to feel settled and safe.

What are the funds really for?

The funds raised will go toward the upfront housing costs needed to move forward in purchasing a home valued at approximately $256,000.

My lender explained that having a stronger down payment position-approximately 25% down-would help move me toward the preapproval process. Funds would also be used for additional required expenses associated with purchasing a home.

Funds may be used toward:

-Down payment costs

-Closing costs

-Mortgage and lender-related fees

-Administrative and transaction expenses

-Moving costs

-Bed and Couch

-Fundraising platform processing fees (estimated around 3-4%)

The fundraising goal of $80,000 reflects the amount needed to help cover these upfront expenses and maximize what goes directly toward securing stable housing.

I am actively contributing through my own income and business and intend to independently maintain the home moving forward.

How soon would I need the funds?

I am hoping to raise these funds as soon as possible due to both our current housing circumstances and the time-sensitive nature of home purchasing.

Although I am waiting on settlement funds from my August 2025 car accident, that process takes time and cannot immediately solve our current housing need. The settlement is intended to help offset the period of limited work and reduced ability to save-not replace the need for housing now.

Because lender requirements and housing opportunities move quickly, support during this period could help bridge the gap and move us closer to preapproval and securing stable housing.

Every contribution -large or small- helps.

What the Support would mean to me?

This support would mean more than financial help; it would mean stability, relief, and the ability to give my daughters a place that feels permanent and secure.

This past season has been difficult to navigate between recovering from a car accident, waiting for settlement funds, rebuilding income, and adjusting after our housing plans unexpectedly changed.

I am doing everything I can to move forward. I am a business owner, a licensed cosmetologist, someone who loves writing everyday, someone who loves cooking vegetarian meals, and someone who genuinely values community and connection.

Support would help us move from uncertainty into stability and allow me to focus on continuing to build instead of constantly trying to catch up.

Very Grateful!

If you choose to support us, please know that I do not take that kindness lightly.

Whether you donate, share this fundraiser, offer guidance, or simply encourage us, I will be deeply grateful. Every act of support brings us closer to creating a stable home and a fresh start.

Asking for help is not easy for me, but I’ve learned that sometimes strength also means allowing others to stand beside you while you rebuild.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story and consider supporting me and my daughters. Your kindness means more than words can fully express.

I seldom post my children so this is why my main picture is blurry, to protect them from the public.

With gratitude and blessings 🙏🏽
