I had to undergo surgery to repair a parastomal hernia that occurred while assisting a customer at AutoZone with loading their car onto a trailer. During this process, I disconnected my intestine from the opening created for the ostomy. This caused the intestine to be pulled through my abdominal wall, where it then twisted and formed a kink.. I Iunderwent surgery last week for the repair, but my recovery is not progressing at the rate required for me to return to work promptly and provide for my family.. As the sole provider for a household of three, these funds are essential for covering expenses such as food, upcoming bills, mortgage payments, car payments, pet supplies, and my medication co-pays. I am a 100% disabled combat veteran who served honorably in both Iraq and Afghanistan, earning multiple awards including a Combat Action Badge and a Meritorious Service Medal during my 15 year long career in both the United States Marine Corps and the US Army. My wife is unable to work due to her disability. Our son is in the process of filing his VA disability claim and is currently unable to work as well. Following this surgery, I anticipate being able to return to my job at AutoZone, although even that is no longer guaranteed. I appreciate you taking the time to read this.
