I’m reaching out today with a heavy heart and a great deal of humility. As many of you know, I’m someone who prides myself on being self-sufficient, but life has thrown a series of unexpected hurdles my way over the past year, and I’ve reached a point where I simply cannot clear the next one alone.

The Situation After unexpectedly losing my job in May 2025, I spent months relentlessly searching for a new role. I was thrilled to start a new position in November, but unfortunately, the role didn't provide the consistent full-time hours that I was promised. While I am still working a very small number of hours there, it isn't enough to cover even the basic cost of living.

I haven't stopped fighting. I’ve completed approximately 12 interviews recently and have moved into the final stages with a few promising organizations. I’m incredibly hopeful that a new full-time role is just around the corner.

The Hurdle Because I exhausted my savings during my first stretch of unemployment, I have no safety net left. To make matters more difficult, I am currently in a waiting period for unemployment insurance and food assistance; I won't be eligible to access those benefits for another few weeks.

How You Can Help My immediate goal is to stay in my home and cover essential living expenses while I finalize my next job offer. Even when I am back to full-time work, catching up on this "gap" period will be a massive challenge.

I am looking to raise funds to help cover:

Housing costs to ensure I have a stable place to live.

Immediate utilities and groceries until my benefits or new paycheck kicks in.
