  • Update 1

This update is provided from Kelsea her oldest daughter
The latest update we have is we have seen the primary care physician. Her white blood count is still very high although she has been on numerous antibiotics from her hospital stay to her time at home. We have been home for about a week now and things are still pretty rough. We order her medical supplies from Amazon as that is the place we can find what she uses to dress her wounds and stuff she is not allergic to. We change her dressings at least twice a day due to her leg draining and the infection still coming out. Pain is a little more tolerable and some days are better than others. We are working on an Amazon wishlist for her that has all the things she uses for her dressing changes. Shes one tough lady who is fighting to the very end to get this taken care of so she can get back to work. We love our mom and so glad she's still here with us as we could have lost her due to the infection going septic. As soon as we get a wish list together we will post it with another update. Her next appt is November 5th where we will find out more and what the next steps for her will be. We thank you for taking the time to read. Even if you can't donate please share.
    Thank you again

Last year my mom was diagnosed with lipedema

(Chronic underrecognized medical condition that cause a painful symmetrical buildup of fat under the skin.)

She was told to take the time off of work to heal from this chronic disorder but was unable to do due to living in today's society.

Unfourtunately, as of 10/11/2026 we now what we are dealing with is a buildup of cellulitis and has caused an infection in her bloodstream. NOW She is she has to take time off work there's no if and/or buts about it. This is per doctors orders. Her job is safe and she will have a job to return to. Another unfortunate factor is during this time her leave will be unpaid. We are setting up a fundraiser to get donations to help her with funding for her home and other bills that come along with that. Anything would help $5, $10, etc. anything helps right now. We just want to make it so that she can rest easy and doesn't have to worry about going back to work at this time. Also not only money to cover home expenses medical ones will follow although she has insurane, the specialists are going to be expensive and the copays alone are $90 per visit. That does not include the doctor's visits as well which are $40 she was already down and out in the hospital for a week and she has missed up to 2 weeks so far. My sister, brother, and I are trying to put together this fundraiser to help her so that way she can not stress about her home life as well as trying to heal from this. Anything helps.
