My name is Eric and I was diagnosed with PTSD and left law enforcement after serving the community I grew up in or 20+ years.

 Since leaving the police department I have struggled finding meaningful employment (real estate, school bus driver etc) that does not trigger my symptoms.  After situations of muliple fights breaking out on the bus I had to resign due to these incidents triggering my PTSD.  

I now walk dogs on a part time basis, which does not pay much, but I find to be very therapeutic. I also volunteer with my church in the facilities management department.

I am hoping to take my family on a little local trip up to northern Minnesota over the 4th of July holiday. The funds would go towards renting a pontoon, a vehicle large enough to haul the family along with our 2 dogs and fuel.

I am not one to ask for help and try to find a way to make things work on my own without assistance. I am quiet and find it embarrassing to ask for help. I would not be able to raise those kinds of funds by that time walking dogs but know my family would be ecstatic.  I would be extremely grateful for any amount donated.
