Hi, my name is Justin. I am an USAF veteran from Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. I worked hard in the oilfields for 15 years afterwards. Due to a knee injury, I had to retire from the Oilfield and moved back to Springfield, MO. Because I'm now in my 40s and I spent most of my working years as an independent contractor, businesses look past my credentials and work experience on my resume. The only job I could find was through a temp service, working in a lumberyard all summer in 102° heat for 12ish hours, Monday through Friday. I need every dime of my paycheck to just simply pay bills, there is no possibility of saving a cent. I finally had a heat stroke 2 weeks ago and was out of work for several days. Due to this the company that I was working for released me, I missed all those hours and now I dont know what to do. I've gone to every other temp agency in town and applied, I expect to find work through one of them soon, but I'm so behind on everything. Haven't bought groceries in 3 weeks. I live in a motel and pay 4 weeks at a time (1600) which is due on Monday, September 21st. My storage unit is $520 behind and I'm about to lose the most important things to me, sentimental objects that connect me to my dead father who I miss every day. Things from my deceased mother who I think of every day. I've never been on Government assistance and ive never had food stamps, ive ALWAYS WORKED to get what I need but I am now in such a bad bind, about to lose my stuff, about to be homeless, I literally have 4 cans of chef boyardee in my motel room cabinet for food. It goes against every grain of instinct for me to even ask for help or post this in a public forum like this, but i am desperate. If you live in or know any business owners in Springfield who need fulltime and/or overtime employees, PLEASE contact me. Going through the corporate route will not work for me I need somebody to say, "hey, give this guy 2 weeks to show you what he can do" and once I have that opportunity I will have already won, because my work ethic is my credit libe and that credit libe is endless. As for the 2,500 to get back to even Steven, save my stuff, buy some groceries, get a new business pass, etc. I would be so grateful for any help. My goal is to get back to good financially (no savings, but no overdue bills), then save for 3 months and get out of this motel and rent a studio or even 2 room apartment. Thank you for any help or positive comments. GOD BLESS!!
