Jon was admitted Friday to PMC for what we thought was a simple pneumonia has turned out to be so much more . 
Upon coming to ther ER Friday he was placed on 2 L Nasal cannula , since then his oxygen requirements has been up and down but as high as 9L High Flow O2 and last I checked he was on 5Lhigh flow .

Since being admitted he had an echo of his heart , that ECHO revealed that dad has severe pulmonary hypertension , severe tricuspid regurgitation, his Right ventricular systolic pressure is  a whopping 108mmHg normal is 35 or less !

he is pretty sick . Along with severe pulmonary hypertension , he also has right sided heart failure , a pleural effusion, pneumonia , acute hypoxia respiratory  Failure.

He has been accepted at UK and once a bed is assigned he will will be transferred.  The medication to treat severe pulmonary hypertension is hard to get , expensive , not approved by the FDA yet , meaning it’s still in its trial phases , and cost well over 100,000 a year .

 
we will be traveling back and forth to be with dad however mom will be staying in Lexington to be close to dad this means she will have the need for food and a motel.
