On June 30, our family experienced the unimaginable. My sister, Summer Mielke, her husband, Dalton Mielke, and their three daughters unexpectedly lost their precious son and little brother, Franklin Peter Jason Mielke, at 35 weeks of pregnancy.

Summer was faced with the heartbreaking and unexpected decision to undergo an emergency C-section, knowing she would not be bringing her sweet baby boy home. Since that day, our family has been navigating the overwhelming pain of saying goodbye while making the impossible decisions that come with the loss of a child… planning a funeral, arranging final keepsakes, and trying to support one another through unimaginable grief. No parent should ever have to endure this kind of loss. As Summer recovers from major surgery and both she and Dalton begin the long journey of grieving their beloved son while caring for their three daughters, we are asking for your prayers and support.
