I am enlisting assistance with getting the down payment for a vehicle. A vehicle is needed in order for myself to be able to get back and forth to work, as well as to get my 12-year-old son to school when needed when he doesn't ride the bus, as well as after school for his practices. I have recently gotten another job that is an hour from our home, and I tried to get a job closer to home but there just wasn't anyone hiring and this position was offered. It is imperative that I get a down payment in order for me to be able to get back and forth to my job. In February, I was driving home from my son's basketball practice, and another vehicle hit my car. It was deemed the other driver's fault, and his insurance was paying for a rental car from February until mid-March until the settlement offer was complete. My vehicle was totaled out. Once the settlement offer was complete, it was sent to my lienholder, and I had a balance I still owed so I didn't receive anything for a down payment for a new car. I continued to pay for the rental on my own from March until July. I stopped due to the prices continued to increase and I would never be able to save money while still paying for the rental.
