I’m going to be completely transparent. Asking for help like this is not something I’m I do.

A year ago, I lost my job. My husband saw that as an opportunity for me to finally do something I've wanted to do for a long time and start my own business. He gifted me my LLC, backed me while I built it, and has been carrying a lot of the financial weight while I try to get it off the ground.

The first year of a business is hard, and mine has been no different. Most of what I make goes right back into startup costs and bills, and we are still carrying around $10,000 in debt that we have been trying to chip away at. On top of that, my husband is now being required to return to the office, which means we also have to move. His job is not covering the relocation, so we are staring down application fees, deposits, rent, and moving costs on top of everything we are already trying to pay down.

He has been working constantly and doing everything he can to keep us moving forward, and I can see how exhausted he is.

So I decided to do something that is very outside my comfort zone and ask for help.

My goal is to pay down as much of that $10,000 as I can before we move and surprise him by taking some of that weight off his shoulders. I’m also going to be documenting the process on TikTok(@alchemistcultivars) and putting in as much work as I can on my end to contribute to it.
