This past Spring , my children's father was tragically and senselessly taken from us in a public robbery. Because this event became a national news story , I am choosing to keep names and specific identifiers completely anonymous to protect our family's safety and privacy as we try to heal. 

While the headlines have moved on , the daily reality for us has been immense financial and emotional struggle. As a frontline healthcare worker and sole parent now , I am doing everything I can to keep our lives moving forward. However, my vehicle's engine failed ( I had my car for  over 10 years ) ,and the engine failing left me with no reliable way to commute to shifts . I am raising $1000 to secure a basic , reliable, older Toyota ( with no prior accidents ) so I can keep working and providing stability for my children.
