Help Us Save Our Home

I never imagined I would be writing something like this. Asking for help is incredibly difficult for me, and honestly, I’m embarrassed to have to ask. But we have reached a point where I need to put my pride aside and ask for help.

Over the past year, my husband was out of work for an extended period of time. During that time, we fell behind financially while doing everything we could to keep up with our everyday expenses. Even after he returned to work, we were already so far behind that catching up has been extremely difficult.

Unfortunately, we now have $5,085 in delinquent Wise County property taxes, and our property is at risk if we cannot get this debt taken care of.

I am doing everything I can to find a solution, but right now we simply don't have the money available to pay it in full. That is why I am swallowing my pride and asking for help.

Our goal is $5,085 — enough to bring the delinquent property taxes current and protect our home.

I know everyone has their own financial responsibilities, and I don't take anyone's generosity for granted. If you are able to donate, even $5 or $10 would help us get closer to our goal. And if you aren't in a position to donate, simply sharing this fundraiser with someone you know would mean just as much to us.

This is a very humbling thing for me to ask, but sometimes life puts us in situations where we have to accept a little help getting back on our feet.
