My very good friend, who is disabled and in a wheelchair, has been through hell and back over the last 6 months. It started out when her nephew and his girlfriend assaulted her in her own home. She calls the police, but they treat her like the criminal. She then gets a call from her mother-in-law telling her that she needs to vacate the house she has been living in for 16 years that she shared with her husband that walked out on her 10 years before. 

She had 60 days to find somewhere to go that would accommodate her disabilities without having to go to a nursing home. She is only in her 50's and still has plenty of life to live. And as she is only in her 50's and disabled, she did not qualify for housing in an ADA facility because she is not old enough. 

She has been officially evicted from her home. She is now living out of a storage unit while sleeping on someone's sofa because she is on a very limited income. The husband that walked out on her had been blowing up her phone and social media trying to find her to the point she had to change her phone number. 

She wants to file for divorce, but her estranged husband will not agree to give her the divorce. Now she has to hire an attorney to go to court for the divorce. She has already tried to get an attorney with the SC Legal Services but they are not taking any contested divorce cases right now. 

My friend just needs to have a safe place to live that will accommodate her disability and to get a divorce from the jerk that won't leave her alone. 

Any help that can be provided would be great! If you can help with the name of an attorney that can help her obtain a divorce on a pro bono basis would also be very helpful. She is a great person that retired as a paramedic due to her disability, and she continues to try to help people as much as she can. She just needs some help now.
