Brenda Hockenberry—a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished best friend—and her husband Lonnie are facing an incredibly difficult time and need our support. On Monday, Brenda was airlifted from Mt. Nittany ER to Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, fighting a serious infection, sepsis, dangerously low blood pressure, and oxygen levels. This crisis follows a year-long battle that began last June when she underwent a complete hysterectomy to remove a 22 cm dermoid tumor. Since that surgery, Brenda has endured numerous complications that have taken a devastating toll on her health, causing significant weight loss and muscle deterioration. She now faces 10-15 days in the hospital as her body fights this infection, followed by another surgery to repair damage from her original procedure. Throughout it all, Lonnie has remained faithfully by her side—exactly where he needs to be. However, this means Brenda cannot work for an extended period, leaving them without her income. Lonnie has been unable to work since 2020 due to a traumatic brain injury, making their financial situation even more challenging. Any contribution you can make would provide tremendous relief during this difficult journey. If you're unable to help financially, we deeply appreciate your prayers, love, and support as Brenda fights her way back to health.
