We are deeply saddened by the unexpected passing of Daniel M. Summers on April 28, 2026, at the age of 70.

Daniel was a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished brother who touched the lives of everyone who knew him. Born on December 23, 1955, in Albany, New York, he graduated from Christian Brothers Academy and Siena College. 

He especially loved spending time on vacation with his family, creating memories that will be treasured forever. Daniel had a warm and playful spirit and was often described as a “big kid at heart” and “the boy next door.” One of his most endearing qualities was his willingness to stop and take photos for strangers, especially during family trips to Disney parks.

Daniel is survived by his beloved wife, Helen Summers; his daughter, Amanda Summers; and his brothers, Charles Summers of Clifton Park, New York, and Thomas Summers of Maine. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Summers, Sr. and Evelyn Summers, as well as his brothers John Summers, Jr. and George Summers.

We are creating this memorial fundraiser to help cover funeral and related expenses following Daniel’s unexpected passing. Unfortunately, due to the timing of his life insurance policy, no benefits will be available to assist with these costs. Any support, no matter the amount, will help ease this financial burden on the family during a very difficult time.
