Hello everyone, I greatly appreciate you taking the time to read my Husband’s Story to better understand why we are here. My Husband Greg Spaulding and I Heather Spaulding have faced a rocky road since day one of our marriage due to a back injury. He had always been a hardworking man and a generous man. He would give the shirt off his back if you needed it. He has also been a great father, pawpaw and stepfather! On September 27, 2025 while we were moving to begin our journey together he became injured. We were never told if it was a preexisting injury from the type of work he does for a living or from a recent injury that came from moving. From going to urgent care to the emergency room and he ended up being there until 8:30am the next morning. The only thing we knew is he needed to see an orthopedic surgeon. From doctor’s appointments to doctor’s appointments. Trying steroids to injections. Nothing was helping. Surgery was the only option left. After already being out of work for 12 weeks on December 15, 2025. He had his first back surgery on his L4 and L5. With this surgery he would be out of work for 12 more weeks or more depending on his recovery. During this time I also lost my job. I did whatever I could to make sure that our family was able to survive each month. After the recovery time the doctors said he was able to go back to work even though 3 months later to end up back in this position, but only worse this time. On August 17, 2026 Greg had his second back surgery. This time was on his L2 &L3. Which was a more intensive surgery. He will be unable to work for another 12 to 16 weeks while he recovers and does physical therapy.
Because Greg has no income right now. Greg needs help to cover basic living expenses for himself and his children. Due to unforeseen circumstances we do not live together.
Rent $1,100/Month x 16 weeks=$4,400 Food & utilities $800/Month x 16 weeks = $3,200
Medical expenses $5000 possibly more with physical therapy.
Any gift helps Greg keep a roof over his head and his children ( my stepchildren)along with food in their bellies while Greg heals. I’m currently working and taking care of my children and doing what I can where I can.
Thank you for all your kindness and support during this hard time.
