update as of 9/10/26 i was able to receive a furnace through a donation center I am so grateful I've updated the amount i still need to raise.

Hello my name is Star and last month on august 11th and a few days later flash floods swept through my town leaving so much damage to me and surrounding homes, i live right next to the creek here it flooded my entire yard completely flooding my basement destroying my water heater tank ripping it out of the wall causing a 49 thousand gallon leak the town wants to hold me responsible for and my  furnace. It flooded my garage ruining so many tools and damaging the only things i have left of my nana her furniture , my washer dryer and fridge. As of right now 9/10/2026 its happening again the creek has risen to the top and I'm so scared its going to happen again I have a cat and a dog and I want to get somewhere safe and hopefully raise the funds to fix it all as I have not had water since the first flood and i truly dont want to experience winter again without heat. I am on disability and i simply cant afford to fix it all, I've put in applications with the red cross it was denied, job and family services denied my ebt replacement, I'm waiting to hear back from other entities no doubt there are many folks they are trying to help as well.
