I am posting this on behalf of my husbands family for his grandmother who helped raise him. On Mother's Day, we lost this precious soul. Mrs. Bertha Heard was sick for a few months in and out of the hospital and was placed on hospice not even 2 weeks before passing. That did not give her family any time to find out her life insurance policy lapsed. They could have saved from having such a big expense if they knew they could pay and reinstate her life insurance. On top of the no insurance, the cemetery where she will be buried did not leave enough room for her when they buried her late husband and the space closest to him is not available. That is why they are asking this amount. All of the money will be going directly to getting her laid to rest. The service for our Bertha is tentatively scheduled for May 29th to allow us to raise the money we need. Even if you can't give anything, thank you for reading and if you can, keep us in your prayers.
