I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer just a couple days before Christmas. Then I had surgery March 4th  2026. Only to find out that I had two forms of thyroid cancer once they had removed my thyroid. 

After the surgery I had learned they had damaged my vocal cord  on the ons side so I will be going in and have an injections in my vocal cords to try to strengthen the one side of my vocal cord. I will have this done when I become horse and start to lose my voice. This good for 6 to 7 months.

So I will be starting my Radioactive iodine treatment it will be starting October 4th. It starts with the special diet. Then you go in about a week later to have lots of shots and scans and extra lab work. Then the second week you go in and have some more lab work and scans and then on that Wednesday you start your radioactive iodine pill and then. And it sounds like I will be taking a little bit of time off of work. Then the next week I go in on a Wednesday again and you have some more scans and lab work. They did tell me that a my be sick with this treatment. So I will take pills to try and help. Yes this sounds like a lot and yes ot is . But the two kinds of thyroid cancer that I have work well to radioactive iodine treatment. 

I just want to say thank you for all your help. I believe that I will get though this just like when I had breast cancer  almost 5 years. .
