My mother was told three years ago she needed to go on dialysis and she refused, her numbers are looking better since that time of course she has fixed up and drank different drinks with different types of vegetables and fruits a younger sister who was on dialysis herself and would send her different mixtures as well until her sudden passing this past March. Which out of ten two are left my mother and a younger brother.
My mother is having problems with her dentures originally she had partial’s and eventually got all of her top teeth pulled and was made a temporary denture which is not fitting and the dentist wants her to now have a surgery to remove the bone in the roof of her mouth to make the dentures fit, which I’m scared for her to do.
The only other option is implants. There is no way she could afford that. My mother is eighty eight, she will turn eighty nine the end of Novembe. she does not have medicaid. she lives alone and still drives to church and exercise. She pretty much holds her on.
She said ”Well I guess the Lord want me here a bit longer, but I’m going to have to have teeth and be able to eat if I’m going to be here”. That’s the other problem she is not able to eat what she want, just soft foods, and she is not comfortable eating out anymore because of it. If I had this for my mother it would have been done. What ever you can do to help her live out the rest of her life stress free from this situation would be greatly appreciated
