Hi everyone, my name is Darishia, but I go by Risha. I was recently accepted into the doctorate program in Clinical Leadership, and I officially started classes on May 20th. This is a huge milestone for me and an important step toward advancing my career and continuing to make a difference in the lives of others through my work.

Right now, I’m using an outdated Chromebook that unfortunately will not meet the needs of my program, especially as I prepare for my first in-person class on June 13th. I’m hoping to raise funds to purchase a reliable laptop that will support me throughout this journey.

I work full-time as a state employee and do my best to manage everything on my own, but with being paid only twice a month and balancing everyday expenses, my budget is very tight. Unfortunately, financial aid does not cover summer courses under 6 credits, and my program requires summer classes to be taken in sequence. The summer course is under 6 credits.
