My father-in-law was a proud veteran and a devoted family man. He served as a lieutenant in the Army in the 1960s, though he rarely spoke about his service—he always said he simply did what was needed and right for his country. He was the kind of person who would help anyone before himself, and he was a wonderful father and grandfather. Recently, he moved in with me and his daughter so we could care for him in his later years.

Yesterday, we found him on the ground and he was airlifted to the hospital. He fought bravely for 24 hours, but sadly, he passed away. Now, we are facing the difficult task of arranging his funeral. We have to pay all the costs up front, and we can't bring him home until the fees are paid. Unfortunately, we can only be reimbursed a small portion, so we need immediate help to cover these expenses and give him the farewell he deserves.
