Thank you so much for taking the time to read, share, and support our adoption journey. Every share, prayer, kind word, and donation means more to us than we can express.

We know our fundraising goal may seem like a large amount, but it reflects the full cost of the adoption process and not just one expense. It includes the adoption agency and placement fees (thankfully a one time cost), legal fees that may be required in both our state and our baby's state, travel for placement, time away from work, and the many other expenses that come with bringing our child home.

Our hope is simply to remove some of the financial barriers so that we can say "yes" when the right adoption opportunity comes. If you're unable to give financially, sharing our story with others is an incredible gift and helps us more than you know.

Here is more of a breakdown of things, so it’s easier to follow along:

$27,000: This goes towards the agency we are working with. Their fees include showing us to current birth mothers/families. 
 

$13,000-$15,000: This goes towards legal fees in both states (our home state, and the state where our child will be born)  
 

$5,000: This goes towards pregnancy related expenses to birth mother/family  

$3,000: This is the average cost of a home study, which is what is needed to approve our home as placement for our baby!

In addition to these costs, there are things such as transportation and lodging costs, and everything else behind the scenes to get ready for a child to come home!
