I am fundraising for my daughter and her family.This is such a long complicated situation that has made me to think differently about the homeless. My daughter and her family has had an unfortunate situation 4 years ago that is causing them not to be able to secure housing. I moved out of my house into a 55 plus community that has not afforded me to allow extended overnight guest.Chelsea and her family had been living with me Chelsea (my daughter) has just had a child who is 2 months old. She is just getting back to work trying to put in full time hours. Chelsea and her family has been denied multiple applications after paying deposits and application fees. Chelsea and her family have been living in extended stay since 1st part of May, that had totally depleted her funds for any other deposits… To make matters worse they were offered a house that asked them  for double deposit. We took what we could…..We got the moving van, and moved all the belongs the house that was offered… Her husband, bless his heart moved all the furniture, himself. We were gonna make due, but as we had finished moving all the furniture etc. roaches started to fall from seemingly the sky. No kidding! I told Chelsea that this was no place for the kids to live ….. Her husband moved all the furniture and clothes out back to storage…. More nights of extended stay.Chesea has paid off the eviction, and other bills that two property managers told her if they were paid would secure an apartment only to be denied.. We have been to social services whom say there is no emergency house, Dept. Of HUD, who gave us a list of second chance places to call, that was not true. I call 211 who had no resources except for HIV/aides. My family is short of homelessness. We just need a deposit to secure a place. And other moving expenses. She is being offered a 1 bedroom apartment for deposit of 3700! She is waiting for an apartment to call on Monday, 6/1 that seem promising like all the others. We are short of any kind of deposit.This is a stretch for us to ask for help. She lost her dad, my husband almost 3 years ago. He was our life net who we no longer have.We will be grateful for any help. I have done all that I can, falling short myself. Chelsea is a nurse who just fell on hard times!
