I’m writing this for my daughter, Connie Wooten! Her nightmare started a year and a half ago.  Her Doctor has tried everything to fix this.  (He’s an AMAZING surgeon and we appreciate him and all his efforts!!)

She’s fighting a bad infection in her leg that unfortunately… has to have part of her leg amputated! She went in for surgery on Feb 4th 2026. It was her 18th surgery within this year  and a half. First they need help just getting her walking again and being able to afford a new leg is very expensive and Insurance only covers 80% which sounds like a lot until you realize how much 20% really is!!   They need help with medical expenses and having to re-do part of their house to allow her wheelchair to fit around the hallways and fit their bedroom and other remodel fixes to their home. This has been an uphill battle that unfortunately she has lost! She's made it through 17 surgeries and her bone is just not healing!   Insurance pays for 80% of the medical that is needed but after that it still adds up to a lot!  Connie hasn't been able to work since 2019 (medical reasons) where shes was a 911 EMS dispatcher and worked for Contra Costa AMR!
