On January 8, 2022, my granddaughter’s life changed forever when she was involved in a snowplow accident. Since that day, she has endured more pain, procedures, and setbacks than anyone should ever have to face, especially at such a young age.
She has undergone 72 injections in her back and hips, two unsuccessful hip arthroscopies, and extensive damage to her hip joint socket that required surgical repair, as well as fracturing her femur to stimulate growth and healing within. Despite everything she has already endured, her journey is far from over.
On November 10th, at just 32 years old, she will undergo a total hip replacement. No one should have to face something so life-changing at this age, especially after fighting so hard for so long. As her Nana, it breaks my heart to see her go through so much. She is a mama who wants nothing more than to take care of her family, be there for her loved ones, and live her life without constant pain. But as she prepares for another major surgery and a long road to recovery, the worry of how to manage everyday responsibilities and provide for her family only adds to the burden she is already carrying.
I am humbly asking for help for my granddaughter. ❤️ Any donation, no matter how big or small, would help ease some of the financial stress she is facing so she can focus on healing, recovering, and taking care of herself while still being the mama her family needs.
