We are reaching out to our community to ask for assistance to offset the costs of medical expenses and burial arrangements for Steve Lauer. As many of you know, Steve was diagnosed with stage 4 Liver Cancer in December 2025. His battle ended July 15th peacefully at home with his wife by his side.

Unfortunately, the reality of a cancer diagnosis extends far beyond the emotional toll. Because of the severe physical impacts of the illness and the treatment schedule, Steve was unable to work. Additionally, his wife, Jan, took some time off from her job to care for him, take him to appointments, and cherish the last few months they had together.

Jan is now facing not only medical and burial expenses, but also the everyday costs of living that don't stop just because life has been put on hold.

Jan is proud and frugal; she does not easily ask for help, so I am creating this fundraiser in hopes that these donations can provide some relief. If you are unable to donate, we completely understand, and we deeply appreciate you sharing this page, keeping Jan in your thoughts, and sending love and prayers to Steve's family.
