At the age of 29, I should be standing on my own-but life has kept knocking me down. Ever since the loss of my mother and grandmother, my sister's incarceration, and years of instability have left me stranded in survival mode. I'm currently borrowing space with my cousin who has survived cancer, just for it to come back and now she is ill.

One week ago, a broken sidewalk cause me to be in a fatal accident causing my front tooth being fractured and broken. Yesterday, another flat tire stole cost me adding up to almost 200$ spent in 2 weeks on repair because of how bad the roads are in Portsmouth, Virginia. I cannot tell you how unlucky I feel just trying to go to work as a pharmacy colleague. 

And yet today? Today I'm asking for help not just to survive, but to finally become the man I'm meant to be.
