Today, Yemen mourns the heartbreaking loss of one of its most fearless adventurers. Al-Qaqa Ibn Antar, known around the world as Yemen’s “Spider-Man,” tragically lost his life after falling nearly 400 feet into the Hardah Dam volcanic crater while demonstrating the incredible climbing skills that inspired millions. His courage, determination, and love for adventure made him a symbol of strength and perseverance.

But beyond the videos and remarkable climbs was a devoted son, family member, friend, and a man deeply connected to his village. His sudden passing has left behind a grieving family and a community facing an unimaginable loss.

Today, we have an opportunity to honor his memory in the most meaningful way possible—by standing beside those he loved.
