Hello Everyone. My name is Gladys and my fundraiser is for my Mom, Louvenia.  My Mom is 93 years young and this past year she has gone through a rough year. Last August  my Mom contracted the virus shingles on the left side of her head , scalp and face. We live three states a part and traveled many times to help take care of her. She was in the hospital three times and we almost lost her. This past November I brought my Mom up to help her get better because she lived by herself. She does not have a home here . There are three adults and two pets that live in my apartment so there is no room for my Mom to live comfortably in order to heal properly. She currently with my Sister , temporarily,  The conditions are not ok but durable for now. My Mother is taking Physical Therapy to help rebuild her muscles so that she can walk better and support herself. Her most challenging he’s issue is that she  is losing her eyesight  on her left side because of shingles. She needs a permanent home in order for her to  get back on her feet and receive additional medical help. Because of her  living conditions medical assista cannot be given unless they can have access to assist her which is not possible while living with my sister. We are both retired and cannot afford to  help my Mother with a house. Assistant living and nursing home is out of the question. We want her to feel comfortable in her own home and with family tending to her needs. With your help it would greatly bless a 93 year old precious Mother , grandmother and great grandmother. She has helped so many others and I would just like to see her receive some of the kindness that she freely gave helping the homeless, feeding those who didn’t have anything to eat and helping those who were sick and in hospice.
