Latest update as of Dec 19, 2025

    It's been a bit since a update.
Armando is doing good, he's been out walking with a walker almost daily. 15-30 minutes, sitting in the sunshine and healing. He is getting stronger, the only complaint is his left leg feels weaker than the other. It's probably from the L1 fracture.
We stayed in a small casita with a full kitchen and living room, it was perfect for him to walk around in and also flat outside to encourage the therapy.
As of tonight, we are home in our little place and hopefully he will be feeling up to walking some tomorrow morning.
Thank you all for the food, visits, donations and the help with the animals. We are humbled and grateful.

About this fundraiser

On Saturday, December 6th, 2025

Armando rolled down a steep embankment with a mule and landed almost
30-50 feet down. He was sent by ambulance and air flighted from Alpine to
UMC trauma center in El Paso with no insurance.
He suffered a fracture on his spine that requires him to be in a back brace
for a minimum of 10 weeks.
The financial burden alone will be a strain for Tracie while Armando is home
unable to assist with basic needs for their family of four and animals.
All donations are greatly appreciated and will be used to pay basic living
expenses in advance, groceries, feed for their animals and hospital bills.
We are grateful for the outpour of love, support and good energy that
everyone has shown. We cannot thank you enough. Time to heal with the with the least amount of stress and worry.

With love,

The Big Bend Gang ❤️

Armando, Tracie, Marcella and Killian
