This family is such a strong family and never ask for help, if anything they are always helping another family or friend, however, Aubree has a long road ahead of her and they need your help.
Sunday, Oct 27th they had such a wonderful day celebrating their son’s 3 rd birthday party. It was a normal day until the end of the party that changed their life forever. Aubree told her parents she couldn’t walk. Her legs hurt so bad. Now if you know Aubree she is the last to complain about anything! Kevin carried her to the car. Then when they got home carried her into the house. Sam ran her a warm bath thinking soothe her sore muscles from running around all day and just thinking she was overtired. Well things escalated quickly. She became more and more pale and purple, a rash developed from her ankles to her hips. Welts that looked like she was hit with paintballs from a paintball  gun! Her legs were so inflamed and she just cried in pain. To see their baby girl in so much pain was heart wrenching! They rushed to the ER and was admitted to the pediatric floor. After blood work and many-many doctors/ nurses examining her she was diagnosed with a disorder causing inflammation and bleeding in the small blood vessels. It affects the small blood vessels of the skin, joints, intestines, and kidneys. It's most common before age seven but can affect anyone. Symptoms include reddish-purple spots on the lower extremities, swollen and painful joints, abdominal pain, and/or bloody urine; on top of viral pneumonia. Sam and Kevin are scared for Aubree and her future. She has an abundance of appointments scheduled for her since she has to be monitored for her blood pressure and kidneys to make sure her BP does not elevate.

While in the hospital Aubree asked Sam if she was going to die. Sam responded quickly with no of course not! The following day Aubree still couldn’t walk and she looked at Sam and goes mom, you can tell me I’m okay if I have to go to heaven I’ll watch over you. Am I going to die mom?

She is a very strong girl and is trying to go to school daily But coming home extremely exhausted requiring a nap.  Somedays she is acting completely normal then the fatigue will overcome her And she will get bags under her eyes leading her to have to lay down. She has expressed her legs are tired so kevin took down her loft bed so she wouldn’t need to climb and use her legs to get in and out of bed or potentially falling if her legs give out on her. They are also making a few other accommodations for her for when her legs are tired.
She is also experiencing, vision problems, not able to grip with her hands sometimes, swelling in her knees, legs and ankles at times and headaches. She is such a fighter even in the hospital she had smiling moments and would tell Sam she was okay !

The doctors are also looking into MS as an additional diagnosis for Aubree. To ease some of the stress I am hoping to have a little help for Sam and Kevin with some medical bills that are quickly adding up! Additionally, Kevin does not have PTO to take at work for the rest of the year.

Sam and Kevin are holding strong through this and are hoping to find more answers to be able to help Aubree navigate through this in the least painful way!
