Baby Penelope is my granddaughter who was born a month ago during an emergency birth that threaten the life of my daughter and Penelope.
My daughter had planned on nursing Penelope all along, however, due to the nature of the emergency and the care that was needed afterwards Danielle has not been able to nurse the baby. This has resulted in a huge expense for baby formula that was unexpected. The amount to purchase baby formula for Penelope amounts to close to $500 per month.
Penelope's dad works 40 to 50 hours a week, however, in addition to the unexpected expense per month paying for formula, the factory he works for shuts down for a week during Thanksgiving and a week during Christmas without pay.
Pregnancy centers have been helpful but just cannot supply near enough for a baby to have the needed amount. Other resources have not come through and we are still waiting for that.
The goal set is intended to provide formula for Penelope up to a year old if necessary.
If anyone prefers to donate the formula itself she is taking Similac Sensitive 360 in the ready to feed 2 oz bottles. I have priced it out and generally the ready to feed bottles surprisingly are less expensive than the powder that must be mixed. Penelope needs to stick with the Similac Sensitive 360 as she has had digestive problems with previous formulas. This one is working better for her and not causing her the discomfort of the others. Any donations of formula whether ready to feed or powder are greatly appreciated and can be dropped off on my porch at 329 Front Street, Apt. B, Front Royal VA 22630 or message me for other arrangements.
Any surplus that is raised above Penelope's needs will be donated to the Front Royal Pregnancy Center.
We greatly appreciate any and all monetary donations, formula donations, prayers, and consideration. Thank you and God bless.
Lori
